For crawling insects, the traps should best be placed on the ground in corners or close to the wall to take advantage of the usual pathways of the insects. A placement in the middle of free space will not give a realistic result. For flying insects the traps are placed hanging from the ceiling. To attract light-sensitive insects, it is advisable to place the traps near light sources, such as illuminated exit signs or emergency lighting.
