Lascaux Medium for consolidation 1l

MFT approx. 4°C. pH 8-9. Lightfast and age-resistant. Soluble in esters, aromatics, acetone, MEK.

This medium for consolidation was developed in cooperation with the Swedish National Heritage Board for the consolidation of paint layers in medieval polychromy on wood. Thanks to its low viscosity the medium displays excellent penetration properties which allow for a rapid and safe consolidation of all forms of loose and powdery paint layers.
Also suited for surfaces sensitive to moisture such as gildings or thins layers of distemper. Can be used on wooden or textile supports.
